Application/Discussion Questions
1. When you are faced with uncertainty about
the future (medical test results, job changes,
relationship changes, etc.) what are the ways you
typically deal with it? Do you have a story of a time
when you became consumed with a fear, worry, or
need in your future?
2. In our study, we learned that we do not have to fear
tomorrow, because our Father is already there,
providing “enough.” Had you ever thought of this
concept before—that God, who is not limited by
time—is already in your future situations?
3. For Israelites traveling through the desert, the
main thing they wanted to control about tomorrow
was their food. They wanted to know that they had
more than enough for tomorrow. God taught them—
instead—that He would provide just “enough” for
today. Then, tomorrow, He would be there again—to
provide “enough” again.
What “desert” do you find yourself walking through
now—or possibly in the future? What is the bread
of provision in your life? What thing or things about
tomorrow have you been wanting to control?
4. Trusting God “daily” means trusting that He knows
our needs better than we do. How does that relate
to the thing or things you want to control in your
future?
5. “Daily Bread” includes asking God for “enough”
today and walking out to harvest what He has
provided. Have you been asking God for your daily
needs? Have you been picking up the provision He
has given today?

An excerpt from 2 Peter 3:3-15
“You must understand that in the last days scoffers will
come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will
say, ‘Where is this ‘coming’ He promised? Ever since our fathers
died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.’
But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the
heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by
water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged
and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth
are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and
destruction of ungodly men.
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a
day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand
slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance.
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens
will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire,
and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
“Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of
people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as
you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day
will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the
elements will melt in heat. But in keeping with his promise we
are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home
of the righteous.”
“So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to
this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at
peace with Him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means
salvation...”
2 Peter 3:3-15
- 親愛的弟兄啊,你們既盼望這些事,就當殷勤,使自己沒有玷污,無可指摘,安然見主;
