1. Esther lived as a refugee of a war-torn, defeated
nation. She was a racial minority. Both her parents
had died. She was also, as one of God’s true
worshippers, a religious minority, holding unpopular
religious beliefs. (see Esther 2:5-7) Which of these
difficulties do you most relate to?

2. Despite Esther’s difficult life circumstances, God
had a plan for her life. She would—as she obeyed
God—rescue all of God’s people from a mass
genocide killing. Esther would never have been able
to save God’s people, if not for the difficult things in
her past that shaped her and placed her in the king’s
presence. How does this encourage you about the
difficult things in your past and God’s plan for you?
2.儘管在以斯帖困難生活的情況下，神

3. In the message we learned that, in times of
persecution, our goal is not mere survival. Our goal
is to find God’s purpose for placing us in the midst
of the persecution—just as Esther did. Read about
this in Esther 4:14. How, as you navigate the complex
world around you, can you move from a mentality
of surviving to one of discovering God’s purpose for
placing you at such a time as this?

moment still came when she had to choose whether
or not she would risk her life to play her role in
God’s plan. Read about this in Esther 4:12-17. To what

your earthly life to gain the eternal reward of risking
your health or comfort for God’s people?
